SINGAPORE – In 2023, Ms Jean Ling is looking forward to staying home to bond with her kids. The 39-year-old is making up for lost time after a Covid-19 infection separated her from her newborn son in October.

Ms Ling, an executive assistant and office administrator, was on maternity leave when her husband Jake Oh contracted Covid-19. Five days later, she tested positive as well.
