SINGAPORE – How do you spot an eldest daughter?

For this firstborn girl, my radar typically goes into overdrive when I notice certain traits in a person – a steely resolve; a desire to do everything herself (because no one else would do it right); and an assured, almost brutish way of communicating that is often mistaken for lack of empathy.
