Swatch Mission To Earthphase
The Bioceramic MoonSwatch – a collaboration between Omega and Swatch – has been a runaway hit since its debut in 2022.
The latest model – Mission To Earthphase – continues the winning streak. The most complicated MoonSwatch model yet, it comes with a unique Earth Phase Indicator which offers a fresh take on tracking time.
This new feature, paired with a classic moon-phase function lets you experience how Earth would look from the moon, cycling through 29.5 days of different “phases” as seen from space. Thanks to a rotating cover, the luminous Earth appears to turn in reverse, giving three unique views, so each continent gets its turn in the UV-emitting sunlight.
Paying homage to the planet’s beauty and diversity, the Earth phase is vibrantly coloured, highlighting visible clouds and the striking contrasts among oceans, forests and deserts. For an otherworldly effect, the oceans are coated with UV ink, creating a blue glow visible only under UV light.
The model has a grey bioceramic case, black tachymeter bezel and the iconic velcro strap shared with Omega. The battery cover bears American astronaut Neil Armstrong’s lunar footprint, a nod to the original moon mission.
Price: $456 (available at Swatch stores at Ion Orchard and Marina Bay Sands from Nov 2).

IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition Polaris Dawn

On Aug 26, four IWC Schaffhausen timepieces made a historic journey into space aboard Polaris Dawn, the SpaceX mission that set a new record for the highest Earth orbit at 1,400km. This commercial spaceflight also made history as the first to have all four crew members participate in a spacewalk.
Worn by the crew members, the IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition Polaris Dawn was designed specially for this mission. Each watch features a white ceramic case and a deep blue dial adorned with stars, embodying the spirit of exploration.
On the back of each chronograph is an engraving with the name of a crew member: commander Jared Isaacman, mission specialist Sarah Gillis, pilot Scott “Kidd” Poteet and medical officer Anna Menon.
These watches symbolise both the achievement of reaching new space frontiers and the timeless human desire to push beyond limits.
Returning from space, these timepieces will be auctioned at Christie’s in December. All proceeds will benefit St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a hospital in Memphis in the United States, which treats the toughest childhood cancers and paediatric diseases.
