Puma launches Squid Game 2 capsule collection

You can now wear the infamous Squid Game green-and-white tracksuit while you watch Season 2 of the popular Netflix series when it premieres on Dec 26.

The multinational sportswear label is giving some of its signature apparel a makeover, inspired by scenes, characters and moments from the world of Squid Game. The K-drama follows a group of contestants who take part in a series of deadly games where the last man standing wins a massive pot of cash.

Puma’s iconic T7 Track Jacket ($129) and T7 Track Pants ($109) feature a staircase pattern containing hidden Puma logos. Referencing the teal-green uniforms worn by the contestants, the tracksuits’ velour fabric is complemented by custom hangtags and co-branded chest labels.

Those looking for a subtle Squid Game reference can check out the graphic T-shirts ($59), backpack ($149) and cap ($75).

The Easy Rider footwear ($169) is reimagined with details from the show’s “Red Light, Green Light” game. The green leather footwear features a hologram on the heel, which turns from red to green. The shoes also come with a sinister Young-hee doll hangtag.

In addition, the Squid Game suede sneaker ($169) borrows its theme from the show’s stair room, by way of bright colour hits and zigzag overlays.

Puma is giving out a Squid Game plush keychain to those who spend a minimum of $150 on the Puma x Netflix Squid Game collection. This promotion is available only at Puma 313@somerset, Ion Orchard, VivoCity, United Square, Bugis+, OG People’s Park, selected Limited Edt stores and Foot Locker at Orchard Gateway.

The home-grown optical retail chain has unveiled its largest and most comprehensive boutique at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands – and is celebrating the festive season with new eyewear collections from Tiffany & Co, Miu Miu and Versace.

Boasting over 2,000 eyewear options from more than 30 brands, including French luxury brands Chanel and Dior, and premium German labels Maybach and Lotos, the boutique also houses a VIP consultation lounge, where customers can explore brands in a private setting.

There is also The Smart Shopper digital catalogue, which allows customers to browse an extensive inventory beyond the store’s walls. They can try on glasses virtually and create their ideal pair, with up to 14 million customisable eyewear combinations. Prices start at $200.

Optometrists are on hand to assist customers throughout the entire process, starting with comprehensive eye screenings conducted at the Essilor Vision Centre.

Equipped with two cutting-edge examination rooms, the centre uses advanced technology that is said to be able to test for glaucoma, cataracts, dry eyes and eye strain in individuals as young as five.

Following the screenings, they are able to offer personalised recommendations for prescription glasses, sunglasses or contact lenses.

The i’mable Collective, an initiative by local organisation SG Enable which focuses on building a supportive community for artists and makers with disabilities, has partnered Singapore Fashion Council to give shopping a purpose.

Designers participated in disability management workshops conducted by SG Enable’s Enabling Academy to better understand the needs of their collaborators, and then trained and employed over 40 individuals to design, craft and bring this collection to life.

Standout pieces include macrame bags and vibrant linocut-printed childrenswear. Prices range from $29 for a kid’s T-shirt to $580 for a kebaya jacket.
