Prada flagship reopens with cafe

Prada at Ion Orchard houses an extensive selection of the Italian luxury house’s collections, a bespoke area and a cafe.

Italian luxury house Prada has reopened its flagship store at Ion Orchard after four months of renovation. Spanning an impressive 13,000 sq ft across two levels, the brand’s largest store in Singapore showcases not only its runway and ready-to-wear collections for men and women, but also dedicated sections for lifestyle items, homeware and fragrances.

For those seeking bespoke luxury, the boutique includes a made-to-measure area, where customers can consult an expert to create personalised bags or apparel using Prada’s selection of materials and prints.

The interior features signature design elements such as the black-and-white chequered marble flooring – a nod to Prada’s original boutique in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II – and the brand’s pastel green hue.

The crown jewel of the flagship is undoubtedly the Prada Caffe, Asia’s first in-store cafe by the brand.

Featuring recipes from Prada’s historic pastry shop, Marchesi 1824, in Milan, it serves an array of beverages and desserts. As the cafe is still in its soft launch phase, guests can secure a spot through their Prada Client Advisor. It will open officially in February.

French biotech skincare brand Orveda in Singapore

Award-winning French biotech skincare brand Orveda has made its debut in Singapore by taking over the Gem Suite at Raffles Hotel Singapore for a pop-up.

At Le Studio, which runs till the end of April, guests can buy Orveda’s genderless products or indulge in three bespoke facial treatments by the brand, which is owned by American beauty giant Coty.

Glow Is The New Lift ($360, 60 minutes) smooths and brightens skin for event-ready radiance; Anti-Fatigue Skin Rehab ($360, 60 minutes) rehydrates and revitalises tired, jet-lagged skin; and Omni Solution ($480, 90 minutes) is said to be a comprehensive treatment that addresses visible signs of ageing.

Founded in 2017 by beauty innovators Sue Nabi and Nicolas Vu, Orveda redefines skincare by moving away from aggressive treatments such as retinol and acid peels. Instead, the brand embraces green science, leveraging bio-fermentation, marine enzymes and plant cell cultures.

At the heart of every Orveda product is the Signature Complex formula, designed to work in harmony with the skin’s ecosystem, targeting the microbiome, skin barrier and epidermis.

Key bio-actives include prebiotics to nourish beneficial bacteria and maintain a balanced microbiome; marine enzymes to boost ceramide production and strengthen the skin barrier; and kombucha to enhance skin tone, suppleness and circulation.

Wicked x Lush collection drops

Lush has created a new line-up of 11 enchanting products for Wicked fans, whether they are Team Elphaba or Team Glinda.

PHOTO: LUSH

Just when you thought the Wicked excitement had simmered down, another magical collaboration has arrived.

British cosmetics company Lush has launched its Wicked X Lush line-up, following other beauty collaborations with the movie, such as IT Cosmetics’ Wicked-inspired make-up brushes and R.E.M. Beauty’s Glinda and Elphaba make-up sets.

The Lush collection of 11 products channels the essence of Wicked’s characters, Elphaba and Glinda, bringing their contrasting personalities to life in the form of bath bombs and soaps.

Standouts include Elphaba’s Hat Bath Bomb ($16), which is shaped like a witch’s hat and fizzes into a glittering green brew with earthy notes of patchouli, cosy vanilla and spicy black pepper, and Glinda’s Wand Bubble Bar ($20), a reusable wand that creates bubbles with the scent of rose oil and vanilla. For a touch of Oz in your daily routine, the Emerald City Soap ($17) combines suds of cinnamon with refreshing hints of lime.

Whether you are Team Elphaba or Team Glinda, Lush offers body sprays ($68 each) to suit your mood. Choose Elphaba’s bold and woody blend or Glinda’s soft and floral fragrance.

Other must-tries include the Shiz University Massage Bar ($25), infused with cocoa and shea butters for a soothing treat, and the Green Shower Elixir (from $20), a zesty citrus gel.

New peptide products from Paula’s Choice

Paula’s Choice has two new drops for the skin and lips which harness the power of peptides.

American skincare brand Paula’s Choice has unveiled two new products: the Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer and Pro-Collagen Peptide Gloss Balm.

These high-performance formulas are packed with peptides that are said to play a vital role in maintaining the skin’s structural proteins such as collagen and elastin. With ageing, natural peptide production dwindles, leading to sagging skin and fine lines.

The Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer ($69 for 50ml) is a hydration powerhouse, featuring a 3X Pro-Collagen Peptide Complex that is said to work below the surface to visibly plump and restore bounce to the skin. This gel-cream provides long-lasting results with 24-hour hydration. Pair it with the Pro-Collagen Peptide Gloss Balm ($35 for 15ml) to hydrate and plump the lips.

From Jan 17 to Feb 2, Paula’s Choice is rolling out sitewide discounts and exclusive gifts for Chinese New Year, including free red packets with a minimum spending of $88, or a Jelly Tinted Pouch with $128 spent. Plus, score a free 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant (30ml) with every purchase of the Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer.

Online shoppers on the brand’s Singapore site will also receive $8 off with a minimum spending of $88 (code: CNY8), $18 off with a minimum spending of $128 (code: CNY18) and $28 off with a minimum spending of $168 (code: CNY28).

Info: Both new products will be available online at paulaschoice.sg, while the moisturiser is also sold at selected Sephora stores (Ion Orchard and VivoCity) and online at
