Inside Fantasy Box, explore the stories behind the three scents in the Fantasies collection, darker scents concocted to be surreal and evocative of different dreams.

But the highlight is the fully operational Afternoon Delight Cafe, inspired by the brand’s newest scent, Afternoon Delight. Here, you can buy madeleines ($5), coffee (from $5) and speciality drinks (from $6) inspired by Replica fragrances, which pair perfectly with the gourmand fragrance’s sugary notes of warm pastries and vanilla.

New Balance’s Grey Days returns

Sneakerheads rejoice: New Balance’s annual Grey Days collection is back on May 1.

The month-long affair celebrates the brand’s most iconic shade and has become an anticipated calendar event for collectors.

It began in the 1980s, when the American brand launched a grey urban running shoe that defied the neon-drenched norm of the time.

The 2025 collection reimagines the shade across 21 footwear and 11 apparel styles. Released in four drops each week of May, The Grey Shop kicks off with grey styles from the lifestyle, performance and kids’ ranges, including the familiar 740 and 9060 sneaker models.

On May 14, catch the return of the viral, divisive 1906 Loafer ($199) – a hybrid sneaker-penny loafer that broke the internet when it debuted in 2024. Highlights from the third week include new models, the Abzorb 2010 and 471, which are inspired by the brand’s running heritage.

Saving the best for last, New Balance will re-issue the Made In USA 1300JP ($439) on May 29. The style is released just once every five years, and stands out for its rarity and craftsmanship.

Take a Chance on Chanel

Chanel Chance Eau Splendide.

Chanel’s Chance fragrance family has a new member. In magical purple, the Chance Eau Splendide (from $208 for 50ml) embodies audacity, and the notion that chance favours those who know how to seize it.

The fruity floral blends sparkling raspberry accord and notes of crisp fruit, rose and violet, with an elegant floral heart of rose geranium. Its luminous first spray settles into cedar, white musk and woody notes, accompanied by powdery iris.

The first Chance was created in 2003 by Jacques Polge, Chanel’s in-house perfumer-creator from 1978 to 2014. Since then, three interpretations have followed in three colours: green Chance Eau Fraiche, pink Chance Eau Tendre and orange Chance Eau Vive.
