Lululemon debuts Glow Up line

Canadian activewear brand Lululemon is taking a stride beyond the yoga leggings it is best known for – with a new line of training gear designed for high-impact workouts.

Launched globally on Feb 11, the new Glow Up collection aims to redefine performance gear, particularly for strength training. Think body-hugging yet ultra-smooth fabric, move-enhancing support and a design built for maximum performance.

Compared with the brand’s beloved Align range – designed with a “barely there” feel for lower-impact activities – Glow Up is thicker and offers more support.

It is crafted from the Ultralu fabric, originally exclusive to the brand’s bras and re-engineered for tops and bottoms. The fabric is said to mould to the body with great stretch to accommodate dynamic movement, while remaining lightweight. Sweat-wicking and quick-drying properties help you transition easily from the studio to the streets.

Making the most buzz online is the new waistband design on the leggings. Featuring bonded construction with minimal seaming to reduce bulk, it has drawn comparisons to scuba leggings. The tights were designed with an internal mesh layer for a secure, waist-hugging fit and a “held-in” feel.

American skincare brand Drunk Elephant has added products to address dry faces and hands.

Complementing the brand’s existing gel cleanser is the Mello Marula Cream Cleanser ($54), an ultra-gentle, low-lather cream cleanser designed to balance and calm skin.
