Bvlgari welcomes Year of the Snake with Serpenti jewels

Bvlgari, the luxury brand commonly associated with the serpent, is not letting the Year of the Snake pass idly by.

The Italian jewellery house is perhaps best known for its Serpenti line, which first slithered into its repertoire in 1948 as a gold bracelet-watch that coiled around the wrist.

Over the years, the line has gone through countless metamorphoses – a nod to the snake’s ability to shed its skin, and the themes of transformation and rebirth.

For 2025, the jeweller has introduced 13 new Serpenti pieces, including jewellery, watches and leather goods.

First up are two new Serpenti Viper sets in rose or yellow gold, comprising a sleek necklace (from $19,500) – where the stylised head of a snake sits elegantly on its tail – and a pair of scaly-chic hoop earrings (from $4,690).

Those who like colour can ogle four Serpenti rings (from $97,600), a lifelike interpretation of the mythical serpent.

Fully encrusted with multi-sized diamonds, the rings are animated by sapphire, ruby or emerald beads on the body and matching eyes, alongside a full diamond iteration in white gold paired with baguette- and brilliant-cut gems.

For watches, there are the Serpenti Seduttori (from $14,700), with its diamond-set bezel and hexagonal motif on the bracelet inspired by the scales of a serpent, and the tubular Serpenti Tubogas (from $59,600), in rose gold and stainless steel with a touch of pave diamonds.

As for bags, the brand has debuted the Serpenti Cuore 1968 handbag ($6,380), meant to look like two halves of a heart.

One half is made up of the bag’s matelasse calf leather body, while the other is a sinuous metallic handle shaped like a snake’s body, inspired by the Serpenti Harlequin jewellery-watch from 1968. A special edition covered in almost 5,000 hand-applied crystals amps up the sparkle.

Oatside x Casetify collaboration.

A new phone case could be all you need to combat a sluggish start to the year. Hong Kong-based tech accessories brand Casetify has chosen an unlikely collaborator: Singapore-owned oat milk brand Oatside.

Starring Oatside’s quirky bear mascot, the collection offers a range of customisable phone cases and accessories that embody the spirit of the back-to-school season.

Three standout phone case designs (from $92) feature peeks into different school lockers and “characters” at school – the Athlete Locker, Slacker Locker and Popular Girl Locker.

They were inspired by how school lockers were personal canvases for self-expression, shaped by doodles, stickers and one’s personal belongings.

Take the customisation a step further with the Custom Locker Case, which can be personalised with your name. The phone cases are available for iPhone, Samsung and Google devices.

Luxury’s most famous pH-reactive lip product is getting new shades.

The Dior Addict Lip Glow ($62), a tinted balm known for its technology that reacts to the pH of the skin, has 10 fresh shades to cater to all undertones.

Thanks to a patented new ingredient, the line’s original palette of cool tones is enriched with six additional warm undertones – from bright corals to nudes to soft peach hues – that emphasise the natural colour of lips.

There are also four new shades for cool tones, including two limited editions: 078 Icy Blue, a pearlescent glacier blue, and 203 Citrus, a lemon yellow that turns coral pink.

Formulated with 97 per cent natural origin ingredients, the lip balm is said to provide up to 48 hours of hydration and shine.
