Australia’s Bodhi Spa makes international debut in Singapore
Bodhi Spa, a premium day spa group with seven outlets in Australia, has opened its first international outpost at The Laurus hotel in Sentosa.
The 3,875 sq ft space – all pale wood and cream accents – has six treatment rooms, including two VIP suites. The spa, founded in 2007, offers newfangled wellness experiences like the Zerobody Dry Float and Recovery Red Light Pod (both from $120 for 20 minutes), alongside traditional treatments like massages and facials.
The Zerobody Dry Float promises mind-body restoration without the need to get wet or undressed while floating on 400 litres of warm water. The treatment is accompanied by acoustic meditation.
Recovery Red Light Pod is a form of red light therapy in which red and near-infrared light penetrate the skin. When absorbed by the body, the light is said to stimulate mitochondria, enhance production of cellular energy and support oxygen delivery.
Info: The Laurus, 28 Sentosa Gateway. Open daily from 10am to 7pm. Bookings can be made over WhatsApp on 8977-1838, telephone on 6577-8700 or via e-mail at Laurus@bodhispa.com

Japanese shoe brand kurun Tokyo debuts international flagship in Singapore
Founded in 2019 in a workshop in Asakusa, Tokyo, the brand is known for its wide range of more than 200 colours and materials.

Japanese ballet flat specialist kurun Tokyo opened its first flagship store in Takashimaya Shopping Centre in April – its first permanent location here after a run of pop-ups since 2023.
Founded in 2019 in a workshop in Asakusa, Tokyo, the brand is known for its wide range of more than 200 colours and materials, as well as its comfortable fit, with shoes so soft that they can be folded in half.
A commitment to traditional Japanese craftsmanship means only 20 pairs are finished a day. Each pair weighs about 100g and prices range from $235 to $320.
The new 302 sq ft space is calm and minimalist, defined by neutral tones such as beige and grey. The walls mix smooth and matte textures, reminiscent of traditional Japanese plaster and natural stone panels.
To mark its grand opening, kurun Tokyo is offering a Singapore-exclusive design, featuring a buckle crafted from the popular premium smooth leather introduced during its previous pop-ups.
Info: B1-43 Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Ngee Ann City, 391 Orchard Road. Open daily from 10am to 9.30pm.
Lancome pop-up introduces Idole Peach ‘N Roses fragrance
Lancome's pop-up will run till May 3.
PHOTO LANCOME
French beauty house Lancome has launched Idole Peach ‘N Roses Eau de Parfum ($180 for 50ml, $250 for 100ml), a new addition to its Idole line that leans into a fruit-forward floral profile built around peach and rose.
The release follows 2025’s Idole Power fragrance and continues the brand’s collaboration with American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo, who fronts the campaign.
It marks a shift towards a sweeter take on the Idole range, which has traditionally centred on cleaner, rose-led compositions.
The Lancome Idole House pop-up features a photo booth, professional skinscreen consultation and a retro-modern Jukebox, where visitors can receive a complimentary 1.2ml sample of Idole Peach ‘N Roses.
Lancome's Idole Peach 'N Roses Eau de Parfum is set against a peach and vinyl-inspired campaign backdrop reflecting its fruity floral profile.

The scent opens with a red berry accord before moving into a tangy peach note layered with the house’s signature Damascena rose, while pink pepper adds a subtle lift.
Developed by perfumers Shyamala Maisondieu, Nadege Le Garlantezec and Adriana Medina, the scent is positioned as a more playful interpretation of the line.
Info: Pop-up runs till May 3 at level B4, Ion Orchard, 2 Orchard Turn. Open from 10am to 10pm. Fragrance is available at Lancome boutiques and department store counters, and online at sephora.sg and lancome.com.sg
