BANGKOK – Storied American jeweller Tiffany & Co has unveiled its first exhibition in Thailand with Legendary Legacy, a glittering showcase of the house’s design heritage and the boundless imagination of the late Jean Schlumberger, one of the 20th century’s most celebrated jewellery designers.

Housed at One Bangkok, Tower 4, the exhibition runs until Sept 7 and invites visitors on a rare journey into Tiffany’s archives. Unfolding across five immersive rooms, it traces the themes that fuelled the imagination of Schlumberger, the French designer who began his collaboration with the maison in 1956.

The journey opens with Guadeloupe: An Island of Inspiration, where his Caribbean retreat comes alive in nature-infused jewels.

From there, visitors step into the Garden of Imagination, a fantastical dreamscape of flora and fauna reinterpreted in gemstones, highlighted by the whimsical Elephant Head Clip.

The mood shifts in Depths of Beauty, a marine-inspired chapter anchored by the dazzling Hedges and Flowers necklace, where yellow sapphires and turquoise shimmer like sunlight piercing the sea.

The odyssey then takes flight in Wings: Symbols of the Soul, a lyrical meditation on transformation and transcendence.

The experience ends on a high note with Tiffany’s most famous gem: the 128.54-carat Tiffany Diamond. For the first time in South-east Asia, the canary-yellow stone is displayed in its newest and fifth setting, a head-turning reinterpretation of Schlumberger’s Bird on a Rock brooch.

Encircled by five diamond-encrusted birds, each subtly different, the creation is the result of nearly 2,000 hours of meticulous craftsmanship, from design to polishing.

Alongside archival pieces, the maison also presents highlights from its latest Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder high jewellery collection, where chief artistic officer Nathalie Verdeille reimagines marine mysteries through a contemporary lens, echoing Schlumberger’s enduring fascination with the ocean.

Timepieces – both new and vintage – are also on display, including several bejewelled watches inspired by the Bird on a Rock brooch.

The exhibition opened with a glittering party at One Bangkok, drawing stars from across the region – from Thai actor-entrepreneur Win Metawin and Thai actress Faye Peraya to Filipino screen icon Anne Curtis and Singapore singer Nathan Hartono.
