SINGAPORE – At a rooftop farm in Siglap, a group of women waits, sans protective gear, to hand-feed a swarm of bees.

A collective burst of nervous laughter ensues when the farm’s co-founder, Mr Clarence Chua, deposits a teaspoon of pollen onto each of their upturned palms.
