When you need a home away from home for more than a few days, there are many reasons why serviced residences are an ideal option.
They offer extra living space as they may come with a kitchenette and multiple bedrooms, making them more cost-effective for bigger groups like families.
If you check in alone, there is the perk of a front desk on hand to help, all-day security as well as access to residential facilities, including swimming pools, gyms and even complimentary breakfasts in some properties.

As a busy working professional, Ms Angela Zhao from Hong Kong (pictured above) likes a wide variety of food and beverage choices at her doorstep, be it for her meals or business lunches. Quincy House Singapore
This is why she chose
The stylish, upscale and pet-friendly property is located conveniently within the mixed development project One Holland Village – equally accommodating to pets – with its many cafes and restaurants including one of Ms Zhao’s favourites, Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine.
A relaxing short stroll takes her to Holland Village for more dining options like Putien and Shao Tapas. For “good quality fruit”, she heads to Holland Village Market & Food Centre.

The 46-year-old, who has been working in Singapore in a logistics company since June 2023, says: “Staying here is a very wise decision as it is in a superb convenient area with numerous choices of various cuisines and bars,” comparing it to her previous serviced residence which was located in a business hub with limited amenities.
The property’s Quincy Qurators are on hand to offer dining recommendations as well as assist with guest check-ins and introductions to the room and amenities.
On hectic mornings, Ms Zhao picks up a complimentary ‘Grab & Go’ breakfast, which is available from 7am to 10am.
Such thoughtful details make her feel at ease. She recalls how the staff gave her extra attention and care when she had a cold, and how the housekeeping team delivered Chinese New Year cookies to her apartment when her daughter visited.
“We truly appreciated the kind gesture. All these moments make me feel like I am at home. Once, when I was in a rush for a golf game, the concierge team helped to carry my golf clubs from the Level 2 reception to the Level 1 driveway.”
When she cannot fit in a golf game, the fitness enthusiast uses the in-house gym at least thrice a week. She adds: “I find it very convenient, well-equipped and super functional. The gym is as good as commercial gyms.”
