Six years ago, I test-drove the second-generation Volvo XC90 and this was what I said in my review: "The car is about 130kg lighter than before, but is still rather hefty, tipping the scales at almost two tonnes.
"Which is probably why you cannot quite feel the 320bhp and 400Nm that its twincharged 2-litre engine produces."
