After Mr Roy Tan passed his driving test in 2017, the first car he drove was a third-generation Mazda MX-5 hard top roadster. The MX-5 was scrapped in 2018 when its COE expired, but the 29-year-old missed it so much that he bought another MX-5 as a replacement in 2021 - a second-hand car that was then 14-years-old.

The car was scrapped in 2018 when its certificate of entitlement (COE) expired, but the 29-year-old missed it so much that he bought another MX-5 three years later.
