It used to be that when you took delivery of a test-drive car, the company representative would just throw you the key and say "here, take it for a spin".
Increasingly these days, a new test-drive car comes with a half-hour mini lesson on electronic operating systems. Which is weird, because when you buy a new computer, the salesman takes your money, thanks you and waves goodbye.
