SHENZHEN – For a company with a name that is short for “Build Your Dreams”, BYD sure knows how to realise fantasies. Since its founding in 1995, when it manufactured rechargeable batteries for radio-control models, communication devices and the like, BYD has made its name today with its electric vehicles (EVs).
It was the best-selling EV brand in Singapore in 2024 and continues to grow. Besides the high-end luxury brand Denza, BYD also has Yangwang, which is a separate luxury brand that offers some interesting sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and gorgeous saloons.
