Drive across Italy in 2025
The next 1000 Miglia will take place on June 17, 2025. The five-day event starts from the Viale Venezia platform in Brescia, and crosses the whole of Italy from east to west before arriving back at Brescia on June 21.
The race – covering 1,600km (or 1,000 miles; “miglia” means miles in Italian) – is inspired by a road race that ran from 1927 to 1957. The modern iteration is a regularity race for historic cars, passing unique landscapes in Italy.
In the 1927 race, the first car to cross the line was an O.M. 665 Superba. It completed the course in 21 hours, 4 minutes and 48 seconds, with an average speed of 77.2kmh.
Reflecting the history of the original event, only models of the cars or the actual cars that have taken part in at least one of the editions held between 1927 and 1957 can participate. They also have to be on the Registro 1000 Miglia, which is a project to catalogue, classify and certify the main cars of the event.
