SINGAPORE – It has been four years since Nissan unveiled its Ariya electric mid-sized crossover. It took the company two years to start production – owing to the electronic chip shortage caused by the Covid-19 pandemic – and another two years for the car to land in Singapore.
Yet, the Ariya looks as fresh, chic and contemporary as any hot new model from elsewhere. In fact, I would rank it as one of the most pleasing designs in the last decade. Its fluid lines gel well with its name, which rolls off your tongue like a familiar song.
