SINGAPORE – First, the bad news. Neta Auto is a Chinese electric car brand which is beset with mounting inventory, patchy production and staff lay-offs, among other issues. You can google “Neta crisis” to read about it.
Its chief executive has stepped down, and its founder and chairman admitted to Nikkei Asia that the company was struggling to survive. Recently, one of its models, the V (since renamed Aya), received a zero rating – the lowest – at the Asean New Car Assessment Programme crash test.
