SINGAPORE – The ebb and flow of certificate of entitlement (COE) prices affect not just the shopping decisions of car buyers, but also how car brands line up their new products in Singapore.

All new cars are affected, except perhaps for ultra-luxury makes such as Bentley or supercars like Ferrari, where the COE premium is but an inconsequential fraction of their million-dollar price tags.
