SINGAPORE - In another showcase of how less is sometimes more, BMW's new entry-level 318i has turned out to be the peachiest model in the entire 3-series range here.

It is the least powerful of the lot, with merely 156hp and 250Nm (versus 258hp and 400Nm which the 2-litre 330i top-liner packs), and fewer bells and whistles.
