SINGAPORE – Audi is an electric-vehicle (EV) early bird. It brought in its first battery-powered model – the e-tron – in mid-2020, just months after Singapore announced plans to start phasing out pure combustion engines from 2030.
Since then, it has rolled out at least four others. Yet, electric Audi cars have not exactly been selling well. In the first four months of 2024, only 240 new units were registered, compared with 1,651 units by BMW and 1,547 by Mercedes-Benz.
