BMW was last year's best-selling premium brand here, and it may well retain its spot with the new 116i.
The compact hatch now has a detuned 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine which makes 109hp, allowing the car to be placed in the certificate of entitlement Category A, where premiums are almost always lower than in Cat B.
