SINGAPORE - When Naomi Neo uploaded a recent YouTube video that revealed she was adopted from China as a toddler, she never expected anyone to care about the "passing topic", let alone for it to amass 278,000 views and counting.

The popular local influencer simply wanted to share the origins of her birth story on Jan 25, which happens to be her 26th birthday.
