SINGAPORE – If you live in a Housing Board flat, you can grow plants in your corridor. You just have to observe some simple rules, like maintaining a clear passageway.

Mrs Chia Phay Eng takes these rules very seriously. She uses a measuring tape to ensure a minimum width of 1.2m for the clearance required to hang planters in the corridor outside her HDB flat in Queenstown.
