SINGAPORE - Augmented reality (AR) is expected to grow exponentially this year in Singapore with the roll-out of 5G infrastructure from this month till 2025, increasing the bandwidth for Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

Unlike virtual reality (VR) which transports users into an alternate universe and blocks out the real world, AR melds both together.
