Construction and civil engineering firm Woh Hup, the developer and builder of Golden Mile Complex, began as a one-man operation in Malaya during British colonial rule in 1927. Today, it has grown into one of Singapore's largest privately owned firms.
The four generations of the Yong family that runs Woh Hup were involved in the building of numerous early landmarks in Singapore such as Clifford Pier.
