The facade of St James Power Station is constructed with fair-faced bricks produced locally by Alexandra Brickworks in Pasir Panjang, which was established in 1899.

W Architects worked with consultants to clean the brickwork with steam to remove soot and dirt accumulated over almost 100 years.
