The notion of the "handyman" has changed in the last few years with the evolution of devices such as Google Nest and Alexa programmed to switch on the television or switch off the lights.
Today's smart-home handyman services entail synchronising all the gadgets and appliances to a Wi-Fi network to "talk" to one another wirelessly.
