SINGAPORE - Civil servant Bernard Ng thought nothing of creating a green feature wall in 2017, in the balcony of his executive condominium in Sengkang. At the time, it seemed like just part of the home decor.
But when the pandemic hit last year, and both Mr Ng and his wife Zeng Jizhi - who also works in the civil service - had to work from home as well as care for their two pre-schoolers aged six and four, the vertical garden became a leafy retreat.
