Singapore Comic-Con returns

Singapore Comic-Con’s (SGCC) 2024 edition is just a month away and promises more than 380 exhibitors, including big brands and independent artists, in addition to the usual slew of appearances by creators and cosplayers.

Home-grown collectibles company Mighty Jaxx will once again be back with an SGCC-exclusive item. The Luffy XXRay – One Piece Luffy Wanted Series Treasure Gold Edition figurine ($54.50) is based on the character from the popular Japanese manga series.

Of interest to younger attendees is another returning presence: Bluey, from the Australian animated series about an anthropomorphic puppy and her family. Bluey will be taking the main SGCC stage with her younger sister, Bingo, for a Bluey Live Experience. They will also be joining fans for a special silent disco event.

Additionally, BBC Studios will be setting up an obstacle course, based on one used by the siblings in the cartoon. Young fans will be able to try out the obstacle course for themselves, for a chance to win Bluey merchandise.

The two-day event includes an interactive Disney Cruise Line booth and themed snacks from confectionery brand Beard Papa.

Where: Sands Expo and Convention Centre, 10 Bayfront Avenue
When: Dec 7 and 8, 10am to 8pm
Admission: From $38 for a one-day ticket

Osim’s heart-shaped compact massager

The uCozy Heart is powered by four massage nodes and has a warming mode for additional comfort.

Wellness technology brand Osim has unveiled a limited-edition, heart-shaped compact massager featuring art by renowned American graffiti artist Stash.

The uCozy Heart ($139) has four massage nodes which work in tandem to provide dual-directional kneading comfort. There is also a warming mode said to further increase comfort and blood circulation.

Measuring 46cm wide and 32cm tall, and weighing around 2.55kg, it is designed to be portable. Osim says that each charge will last up to 60 minutes.

In addition, Osim decided to partner Stash to add an artistic flair to the uCozy Heart.

Stash, whose real name is Josh Franklin, made a name for himself in the world of commercialised street art, collaborating with big brands such as sportswear giant Nike.

The uCozy Heart adapts his West Side artwork – inspired by the vibe of New York City neighbourhoods such as Hell’s Kitchen and SoHo – to fuse “emotional and physical relief in one unique piece”, he says.

Info: The uCozy Heart x Stash massager can be purchased at Osim outlets and on the Osim website (
