SINGAPORE – In the face of rising food costs, house brands by supermarket chains – both local and foreign – and e-commerce retailers made a splash in 2022 with quality products that do not break the bank.
Banished was the impression that house brands are inferior to big-name brands – not when they taste as good, or even better, and are priced about 20 per cent lower than competitors.
