SINGAPORE – Singaporeans craving a taste of Seoul’s fast-food scene will soon get their fix as South Korean hamburger chain Lotteria is set to open its first outlet here in February 2026.

The brand’s entry into Singapore marks a partnership between Singapore-based food and beverage (F&B) and hospitality company Katrina Group and South Korea’s Lotte GRS.

Both parties officially signed franchise and development agreements on Aug 25.

The location of the outlet remains under wraps, with further details to be shared in the lead-up to the opening, Katrina Group said in a statement.

A spokesperson said the group is working to bring some of Lotteria’s signature burgers and popular favourites to the Singapore market, along with new seasonal specials.

The group announced in October 2024 that the first store was expected to open by

the second quarter of 2025

, with multiple outlets across Singapore in the future.

Lotteria, which was established in 1979, is known for its Korean-style burgers with localised and seasonal offerings. It operates more than 1,600 stores across seven countries, including Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.

The chain frequently engages in high-profile collaborations, such as a campaign with K-pop boy band TXT to promote a kimchi and bulgogi burger in June.

In January, Napoli Matfia, the winner of Netflix’s hit South Korean reality cooking competition Culinary Class Wars, teamed up with Lotteria to launch a mozzarella burger.

Katrina Group owns and operates eight F&B brands in Singapore, including casual-dining chains such as Bali Thai, Daily Chicken, Streats and So Pho, along with mid-range dining restaurants Rico Rico and Tomo Tokyo.

Lotteria is also expanding into Malaysia, with the Malay Mail reporting earlier in August that its first outlet there will open in late 2025.

The expansion is part of a joint venture between Lotte GRS and Malaysia’s Serai Group, with plans to open 30 additional locations in the country over the next five years.
