SINGAPORE - Sake, Japanese rice wine, has been popping up on restaurant wine lists, in meal pairings and online, where sellers jostle for a piece of the action.
They are taking great pains to demystify the drink, decoding labels written entirely in Japanese, providing tasting notes and organising sessions for keen drinkers to learn more.
