SINGAPORE – Traditional coffee from this region, also known as Nanyang coffee, is enjoying a renaissance outside coffee shops and hawker centres. The daily staple is stirring up interest among younger consumers, especially when it comes in snazzy iterations such as Great Nanyang Heritage Cafe’s Coconut Coffee and Soymilk Coffee. 

Industry players point to the growing number of retro-themed cafes which promote traditional coffee, along with local or Malaysian dishes.
