SINGAPORE – Once a common sight in Singapore, streetside carts plying ice cream – scooped into cones or sandwiched between rainbow-coloured bread – have become a rarity.
As at January, only 11 of 21 licences, issued in the past decade under the Street Hawking Scheme for the sale of ice cream, remain in use.
