SINGAPORE - Inflation has not spared even the humble luffa. Priced at $4.50 a kilogram just three weeks ago, it is now $5 a kg at the wet market vegetable stall I frequent. But it is still an economical option for cheap and tasty family dinners.
For a portion enough to feed four, I use two young luffas which weigh about 800g and cost slightly over $4.
