SINGAPORE – Despite Singapore’s tap water being perfectly safe to drink, the Republic recently came up tops for consuming and spending on bottled water per capita, markedly more than any other country.
The recent report – by think-tank United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health – defines bottled water as water packaged in any type of container, such as bottles, water dispensers and sachets, for both individual and household use.
