SINGAPORE – Universal Studios Singapore (USS) cast a spell on the good witch and wicked witch on Nov 12, as the duo enjoyed a night out at the theme park in Resorts World Sentosa.

American singer-actress Ariana Grande and English actress-singer Cynthia Erivo, who played Glinda and Elphaba respectively in the musical fantasy film Wicked (2024), are in town to promote the sequel Wicked: For Good.

The Straits Times understands the stars were at USS – which stayed open for them after operating hours – for over two hours and went on rides such as Battlestar Galactica, Transformers, Sesame Street, Puss In Boots, Enchanted Airways and Canopy Flyer.

According to photos and a video uploaded by Grande on Instagram Stories early on Nov 13, she and Erivo interacted with an animatronic baby dinosaur at the Lost World zone in USS.

Grande was slightly startled when the creature made a sound, eliciting laughter from those around her.

In solo shots which show the 32-year-old pop star getting up close with and looking lovingly at the dinosaur, she wrote “crying” and “the most special night”.

Erivo, 38, also posted clips on her Instagram Stories of her time at USS, showing her engaging with Bumblebee, one of the characters from the Transformers media franchise, at the Sci-Fi City zone, and skipping around Minion Land.

Cast members such as Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh and American actor Jeff Goldblum will also be in attendance.
