SINGAPORE – South Korean model-actress Claudia Kim recently went on a “date” with her three-year-old daughter in Singapore.
Kim, who is married to Korean-American start-up founder Matthew Shampine, posted on Instagram several mother-and-daughter photos, with their backs to the camera.
“Singapore was even better thanks to my travel partner,” the 39-year-old wrote on June 25, adding: “Wanna say thank you to all the fans I met on this trip. You’re all so sweet.”
She also shared a photo of the Merlion statue and one of her daughter looking at Marina Bay Sands from afar.
Kim, whose Korean name is Kim Soo-hyun, made her acting debut in South Korean TV series Queen Of The Game (2006 to 2007), after winning a South Korea-China modelling competition in 2005.
She acted in several K-dramas, including the spy comedy 7th Grade Civil Servant (2013), before making her Hollywood debut in the Marvel movie Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015), in which she played geneticist Helen Cho.
She also had a role in the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald (2018), playing Nagini, a circus performer with the power to transform into a snake. Nagini would later become antagonist Lord Voldemort’s killer serpent.
She recently starred in Netflix series Gyeongseong Creature (2023 to present) and The Atypical Family (2024), playing a Japanese noblewoman and a superhuman being struggling with obesity respectively.
