NEW YORK – Actress Sarah Jessica Parker shared a sweet tribute to her husband, actor Matthew Broderick, on their 26th wedding anniversary last Saturday.
Posting a photo of a champagne cork on Instagram, the 58-year-old wrote: “That sure was a nice celebration and a real nice bottle of champagne. And a gorgeous walk home.”
The star of Sex And The City (1998 to 2004) and its spin-off And Just Like That… (2021 to present) added: “Oh the miles we have strolled together. I love you.”
The celebrity couple, who met in 1991 in New York, share three children – son James Wilkie, 20, and twin daughters Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell, 13.
Broderick, 61, said in a 2022 interview that it was love at first sight.
“I saw her walking down the street and thought, ‘That’s it’,” he told host Andy Cohen on chat show Watch What Happens Live.
The couple seldom discuss their relationship with the press, which Parker said is a reason for its longevity.
“I’ve always said one of the reasons we’ve had success is because we don’t talk about our marriage,” she said in a 2022 interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
She added: “I’m not flattering myself that anyone’s discussing my marriage, but we’re certainly not going to add to it by saying, ‘Well, this is why it works.’ Next thing you know, there’ll be a very public divorce.”
