Hong Kong singer Jackson Wang has teamed up with Apple for his new single Let Loose.
The 31-year-old released the song’s official music video (MV) on various channels on Sept 13.
“Commissioned by Apple,” he wrote on Facebook. “Very grateful to be able to be a part of this and create the concept and creatively direct this body of work.”
Filmed entirely on the newly announced iPhone 17 Pro, which was unveiled last week during Apple’s keynote event, the cinematic MV captures the heady rush of a night on the dance floor when the lights dim and the beat takes over.
Co-directed by Wang and South Korea’s Ojun Kwon, Let Loose reflects Wang’s boundary-pushing creative vision, but also showcases the iPhone 17 Pro’s state-of-the-art innovations.
The clip captures Wang’s dynamic performances through the most advanced camera system on an iPhone, including the 48MP Ultra Wide and 48MP Telephone cameras with an 8x optional zoom.
“Even during some regular full production shoots, there were times I didn’t get what I expected,” Wang said in a press statement. “So it was really mind-blowing to experience what the iPhone has achieved in this body of work.”
The release follows the success of Wang’s latest album Magicman 2, which debuted at No.13 on the Billboard 200 chart - the highest debut ever by a Chinese solo artiste - and comes on the heels of his recently announced Magicman 2 World Tour.
The tour begins on Oct 3 with back-to-back sold-out concerts in Bangkok, followed by three shows in Macau, with every date selling out almost immediately.
