Singer Faye Wong’s ex-husband Li Yapeng is divorced for the second time

Chinese businessman Li Yapeng, who is best known for being married to Chinese pop diva Faye Wong from 2005 to 2013, is unlucky in love once again.
After the couple parted ways, the former actor gave marriage another go in 2022 when he wed former Chinese beauty queen Haiha Jinxi, who is 19 years his junior. But things did not work out the second time round.
According to a joint statement, which was uploaded on Oct 14 in the form of a video to the Weibo accounts of both Li, 54, and Haiha, 35, the pair commenced divorce proceedings “long ago”.
They have a three-year-old daughter
Li and Haiha said they initially wanted to settle the split privately, but too many people have been asking them about the matter. This led to them issuing the public confirmation.
They ended the statement with “both of us are good. Thanks to all the friends who are concerned about us, and hope everyone is well”.
Li starred in Chinese television series such as period dramas Laughing In The Wind (2001) and The Royal Swordsmen (2005). His last acting project was the Chinese romantic drama film Eternal Moment (2011), after which he focused on his business endeavours.
When some of them failed, reports in 2023 said a court ordered him to pay $37 million to creditors, and also placed a restriction on his spending.
Haiha, who is from the Nuosu ethnic group, was China’s Miss Tourism Queen in 2006 and a finalist in Miss China World in 2011.
Wong was first married to Chinese rocker Dou Wei, 56, from 1996 to 1999. After divorcing Li in 2013, she did not remarry. She is now dating Hong Kong singer-actor Nicholas Tse, 45.
