La La Land – In Concert
American Justin Hurwitz was the composer of the musical film La La Land (2016), which clinched the Academy Award for Best Original Score.
When the musical film La La Land was released in 2016, it was widely acclaimed and went on to win six Academy Awards. Its composer, American Justin Hurwitz, clinched the prize for Best Original Score. One of its musical numbers, City Of Stars, which was composed by Hurwitz with lyrics by Americans Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, was crowned Best Original Song.
Other memorable songs from the movie are the energetic opener Another Day Of Sun and the emotional ballad Audition (The Fools Who Dream).
The Metropolitan Festival Orchestra will perform tracks from the movie, such as City Of Stars and Another Day Of Sun.
Here is your chance to listen to these lauded tracks in a live concert experience, performed by the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, Singapore’s only fully independent professional symphony orchestra, and local choral group Symphonia Choralis, and conducted by Hurwitz himself.
Although three performances have been lined up, tickets to the March 18 and 19 shows are already sold out. Only those for March 17 are available.
