Campus Superstar Season 1 winner Cheeyang Ng has a music degree from Berklee College of Music, and a Master of Fine Arts from New York University.

SINGAPORE – Of the Campus Superstar winners, none has achieved the level of artistic success as Season 1’s Cheeyang Ng.
In 2006, the 36-year-old – who identifies as transgender and non-binary, and uses they/them pronouns – clinched the inaugural title as a 16-year-old Year 5 student from Hwa Chong Institution after performing a soothing cover of Wang Leehom’s A Simple Song (2004) during the finale.
