Rapper Cardi B welcomes fourth child, her first with football player Stefon Diggs

American rapper Cardi B has welcomed her fourth baby, and her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, an American football player.

She announced the news in the caption of an Instagram video, where she is shown strutting to her new song Hello, from her second and latest studio album, Am I The Drama?. The album was released on Sept 19.

“My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons,” the 33-year-old wrote. “My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy, but it’s been so worth it.”

She continued: “I brought new music and a new album to the world. A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else, so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.”

She added: “This next chapter is me vs me. It’s me against all odds, me against everything meant to get in my way. I’ve started prepping for tour, getting my body right, getting my mind right. There’s nothing that’s gonna stop me from giving you guys the performance of a lifetime.”

Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, did not reveal when the baby was born. Sources told American media outlet TMZ that she gave birth to a baby boy last week.

The artiste confirmed she had given birth to a son in a video posted on Instagram Stories, in which she was admiring two pink baby strollers.

“I just had a boy,” she was heard saying in the clip. “I love this stroller.”

Rumours that the Bodak Yellow (2017) artiste had given birth emerged on Nov 13, after TMZ ran a clip of her in a gym on the same day, without her baby bump. In the clip, she was sitting on a bench and looking at her mobile phone after a workout.

Cardi B confirmed her pregnancy, following weeks of rumours, in an interview with American television programme CBS Mornings which aired on Sept 17.

“I’m excited, I’m happy, I feel like I’m in a good space,” she said then.

Diggs, a wide receiver for National Football League team New England Patriots, revealed to American magazine People in an interview on Nov 3 that his girlfriend was carrying a boy.

“It’s a boy. That’s enough for me,” he said then. “I can’t wait to make him do push-ups and sit-ups and run around.”

Cardi B went Instagram official with Diggs in June, after they were rumoured to be dating earlier in 2025. It came months after she split from her husband, American rapper Offset, 33, in 2024.

She has three children with Offset, aged seven, four and one.

Diggs, 31, has a nine-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, and a seven-month-old daughter born to model Aileen Lopera.
