American rap star Cardi B announced that she was pregnant with her third child, soon after news broke that she has filed for divorce from her estranged husband, American rapper Offset.

The couple share a six-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son.

“With every ending comes a new beginning,” she wrote on social media on Aug 1, posting two photos of herself in a revealing red dress that bared her bulging belly.

Referring to her unborn child, she added: “I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and, most of all, renewed my power. Reminded me that I can have it all.”

The 31-year-old said her latest pregnancy is a reminder that she does not have to choose between life, love and her passion.

“I love you so much and cannot wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do. It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through.”

American celebrity gossip website Page Six reported on Aug 1 that Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, filed for divorce from Offset, 32, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, on July 31.

The couple have had an on-off relationship since they married in September 2017, due to his alleged infidelity.

She first filed for divorce in September 2020, but dismissed the petition two months later.

Page Six also reported that Cardi B is seeking primary custody of their children, and is not folding this time.
