SINGAPORE - Ms Sairah Banu used to watch her favourite Japanese dramas such as Boys Over Flowers (2005 to 2007) and Hana-Kimi (2007) on video discs or through streaming entertainment site Crunchyroll. But the 28-year-old, who was in secondary school then, stopped after a few years.
The analyst at a pharmaceutical company says: "I used to watch them quite frequently, but after a while, it became very difficult to find sources online to watch them."
