Indonesian pop singer Afgan will perform songs from his new English EP, Sonder, at his Singapore album showcase.

Afgan: Sonder Tour – Singapore
Indonesian pop and R&B crooner Afgan will perform songs from his new English EP, Sonder, at this intimate showcase. The EP includes Escape, which features United States-born South Korean singer-rapper Jessi.
Afgan will also play songs from his 2021 English album Wallflower, which has a collaboration with Hong Kong-born singer Jackson Wang.
The singer and songwriter, whose real name is Afgansyah Reza, is known for Indonesian hits such as Bawalah Cintaku (Bring My Love, 2010) and Bukan Cinta Biasa (No Ordinary Love, 2010).
His debut album Confession No. 1, released in 2008, won several awards, including Best Album and Best Male Artist at regional Malay music awards show Anugerah Planet Muzik.
Afgan has also ventured into acting, with lead roles in romantic movies such as Cinta 2 Hati (2010).
He will return to Singapore for a full concert at The Star Theatre on Nov 15.

Singapura Dub Club 10 Year Anniversary
Singer, rapper and founder of Singapura Dub Club, Masia One (middle), will perform at the collective’s 10th anniversary concert.
Home-grown collective Singapura Dub Club – local champion of dub, reggae and dancehall music – will mark its 10th year of gigs and parties with a two-day bash.
Each day comprises two events that melds Caribbean culture with South-east Asian elements. The festivities on the first day at venues within Pullman Singapore Hill Street hotel will kick off with the Soul Vibes Pool Party at El Chido bar, with DJs including Sarasa from Japan and local veteran Ollie Des.
This is followed by SG Dub Bass Session at modern Japanese izakaya Moga, with music from the likes of Irie Sunday from the Philippines and Yella Sky Sound System from Indonesia.
The second day at Novotel Singapore on Stevens begins with the free-entry Suka Suka Sunday Cookout, an all-ages and pet-friendly affair with Caribbean jerk barbecue and music from acts such as local DJ Selecta P.
The final event is a sundown concert with a stacked line-up that includes Singapura Dub Club head Masia One, who will perform with her Ragga Waka dancers, home-grown stalwarts Bushmen and regional reggae heavyweights such as Ras Muhamad from Indonesia.

Pixel Paradise – Paradise Music Stage
Singapore neo-ethnic fusion band Mantravine’s performance will incorporate live instruments, spoken word and singing, as well as electronic and global rhythms.
Events at the Singapore Night Festival this week include the Paradise Music Stage concert.
The free gigs are part of Pixel Paradise, in which Armenian Street is transformed into a playground inspired by pixel video games and Peranakan Museum’s beaded objects.
Neo-ethnic fusion band Mantravine will play a set on Sept 6 that incorporates live instruments, spoken word and singing, as well as electronic and global rhythms.
Experimental rock stalwarts The Observatory, whose line-up comprises multi-instrumentalists Cheryl Ong, Dharma and Yuen Chee Wai, will take the stage on Sept 7. Their set will explore inter-media experimentation, noise music and improvisation.
Pixel Paradise also features games, interactive art installations and facade projection mapping.
