Rocking The Region 2024
The Esplanade is winding up its Rocking The Region free concert series with its 15th and final edition.
The swansong line-up features 10 music acts from South-east Asia, including Singapore.
Making a return to the Republic are Malaysian outfit Sweetass, a band known for their fetching blend of grunge and pop sensibilities. They will perform on June 17.
Other regional outfits include Thai all-female alternative rock band Yellow Fang on June 14, Filipino dream-pop act Megumi Acorda on June 16 and Indonesian alternative rock band Heals on June 21.
Home-grown musicians performing include singer-musician Darell Laser’s solo project Quite Quiet on June 14 and 15, and post-rock quartet Sang Matahari Tidur Mati on June 16.

GUI ‘The Moving’ Fundraising Concert

The DJs from Chinese radio station 96.3 Hao FM are among the personalities, singers and musicians featured in a two-day fund-raising concert for Ground-Up Initiative (GUI).
GUI is a non-profit known for its focus on sustainability and community building. All proceeds from the gigs will be used to fund its relocation from Lorong Chencharu to its new campus in Khatib.
The 96.3 Hao FM DJs will feature in the first of three concerts, Together, on June 28. The second concert, Friendship –in the afternoon of June 29 – will feature singers and musicians Wysom Wong, Ravi and Ria, Eugene Seah and Karyn Wong and a capella/choir group Yazers.
The final concert, Love – in the evening of June 29 – will include singers and musicians The ETC, Boon Hui Lu and Wilson Huang.

Collective Minds x Mandala Club Presents: Dance For Life
The line-up at the Dance For Life party includes Dean Chew (in flat cap) from Darker Than Wax, an electronic music label based in Singapore.
Several Singapore music crews, including Darker Than Wax, Collective Minds, Mandala Club and North East Social Club, are getting together for this day-long, fund-raising party.
All ticket sales, donations and a percentage of the bar sales will go to Love Aid Singapore, a humanitarian relief organisation providing food and aid to the people of Gaza, Palestine.
The DJs and electronic music acts performing include Dean Chew, Bongomann, Aurora and James Selva.
